Family-run business since four generations

In 1989, Robert and Elke Zimmermann assumed the positions of Managing Directors of the company. With that, the ZIMMERMANN Technische Federn GmbH is a 4th generation family-owned company. The 5th generation, son Peter Zimmermann, is already active in the day-to-day business of the company. Trustful cooperation will continue in the future.

1. Generation (Eduard Sieber):

Founding: Around 1905, Eduard Sieber began the production of spiral spring in Georgswalde (Jiříkov), Czech Republic. 1945: Expropriation and expulsion from the ČSR.

2. Generation (Robert Wiletal):

As of 1946 Robert Wiletal, son-in-law and authorised signatory of Eduard Sieber, continued the production in the ERWE Werkstätten KG in Seifhennersdorf. 1972: Expropriation through nationalization.

3. Generation (Robert Zimmermann):

In 1960, Robert Zimmermann, son-in-law and authorized representative of Robert Wiletal, founded the “Technischen Werkstätten” (Technical Workshops).

4. Generation (Robert Zimmermann jr.):

As of 1989 Robert Zimmermann jr. took over the Technischen Werkstätten from his father Robert Zimmermann. In 1990 Robert Zimmermann jr. together with his wife Elke Zimmermann founded the company ZIMMERMANN Technische Federn GmbH which still exists today. In 1998 the construction of hall 1 and the administration building was started. This was followed by four additional expansions of the production halls in the years 2001, 2004, 2007 and 2008. 2000: Founding of the Perovna Zimmermann s.t.o. (GmbH) – Spring factory Zimmermann in Rumburk, Czech Republic. In 2013 the site moved to Dolní Podluží.

5. Generation (Peter Zimmermann):

In July 2017, the former authorized signatory Peter Zimmermann will follow in the footsteps of his mother Elke Zimmermann as the Managing Director.
